Before coming to Elmira I was the resident designer and technical director of Beacon St. Playhouse in Chicago, Illinois. During my tenure there I won recognition with a Joseph Jefferson Citation for my lighting design for the production of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. While in Chicago I also worked at the Steppenwolf Theatre and The Goodman Theatre. Prior to that I also worked professionally in Detroit MI. at Attic Theatre, the Hillberry Classic Theatre and the Bonstelle Theate as Lighting and Sound designer. While in Detroit I received my Master of Fine Arts Degree from Wayne State University.

Later I held the position of scenic and lighting designer at the Naperville Park District's Youth Theater near Chicago, Illinois as well as scenic and lighting designer for The Drake Theatre repertory in Lake Forest Il. My past teaching credits include Lewis University in Romeoville, IL. and George Williams College in Downers Grove, IL. Currently I am Associate Professor of Theatre and teach scenic, lighting, costume design and film studies at Elmira College.
