Outside Interests

I hold a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo, and am on the tournament committee of the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference (http://www.ectc-online.org/), a league that holds 5 day-long taekwondo tournaments every year with ~400 competitors from dozens of schools. In the summer of 2015 I was the female team manager for the USA Collegiate Taekwondo team as they traveled to Gwangju, South Korea to compete in the World University Games (I brought an Elmira tshirt to wear!). I'm an advisor to the Martial Arts Club on campus and hope to take some students to tournaments this year.

Growing up I was a competitive swimmer, and in recent years I've added running and then biking to become a triathlete. I compete in the two shorter distances of triathlon (Sprint distances are usually a 1/2 mi swim, 20K bike, 5K run; Olympic distances are double that). I'm often seen on the treadmill at the gym or in the pool.
